Each painted piece has its own unique characteristics to entice the viewer to remember a special time or place in nature.

The art work starts by the selection of special piece of glass; relying on the grain, color, and character of the glass. The palette consists of a variety of colors. Each color is made from pre-mixed powdered paint. This mixture is composed of some ingredients used in the making of glass. Special oil is mixed with the powder to create a usable consistency. The paint is then applied with a variety of brushes, and pens. After each layer is applied, it is fired in a kiln at 1300 degrees. This firing process bonds the paint to the glass surface.

Although this process of applying paint to the surface of glass seems new and unusual, in fact it is very old. This technique has been used in many cathedrals and very old buildings around the world in their painted stained glass windows. It is a technique that has not been used a lot in recent years and just now experiencing a rebirth.
